New route: Air Arabia Abu Dhabi announces direct flights to Damascus
Three weekly flights to connect Zayed International Airport with Syrian capital
ABU DHABI – Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the capital’s first low-cost carrier, has announced the launch of a new non-stop route from Abu Dhabi to the Syrian capital, Damascus.
Starting October 28, 2025, the airline will operate three weekly flights between Zayed International Airport and Damascus International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The new service aims to offer passengers convenient and affordable travel options between the two capitals.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said the launch marks another milestone in the airline’s network expansion strategy. “This new addition underscores our commitment to enhancing regional air connectivity and providing customers with greater access to key destinations across the Middle East,” he said. The route also supports the growth of travel, trade, and tourism between the UAE and Syria.
The new connection complements Air Arabia Group’s existing network, which already includes non-stop flights between Sharjah and Damascus. With more than 30 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi continues to contribute to the UAE capital’s goal of strengthening international air links.
Modern fleet
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates a modern fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft, one of the most popular single-aisle models globally. Passengers can enjoy the airline’s complimentary in-flight streaming service ‘SkyTime’, onboard menu ‘SkyCafe’, and the region’s most generous loyalty programme, ‘Air Rewards’.
Travellers can now book their flights between Abu Dhabi and Damascus through the Air Arabia website, call centre, or authorised travel agencies.
